We are pleased to share that Booth Welsh has recently signed the Armed Forces Covenant, joining a growing network of organisations that actively back the Armed Forces community. As part of this pledge, we’ve also received the Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), recognising our efforts to promote inclusive recruitment and career development for those with military experience.
Many of the sectors we work in naturally align with the transferable skills developed through military service, from leadership and problem-solving to technical expertise.
We were delighted to attend the recent ERS Employer Breakfast where we were officially presented with our Bronze award. The event brought together businesses from across Scotland with a shared commitment to creating opportunities for the Armed Forces community”, and their families.
Martin Welsh, CEO at Booth Welsh commented,
“Joining this network supports our wider approach to inclusive recruitment and socially responsible business practices. As members of Scottish Engineering, who themselves hold the Gold ERS award, we’re proud to be part of a wider community driving positive change. The Armed Forces community bring a wide range of valuable skills and experience that align well with the work we do at Booth Welsh. Signing the Covenant is a positive step in recognising those strengths and supporting future opportunities within our business and a meaningful step on our journey to becoming a more inclusive and supportive employer”
