Booth Welsh has been awarded two Professional Services Framework Agreements with the EDF Nuclear family:

  • EDF Energy Nuclear Generation (NGL)
  • Nuclear New Build (NNB), Hinkley Point C

Both frameworks commenced on 1 January 2026 and will run for five years, through to 2030.

Secured following a competitive tendering process throughout 2025, these awards reflect Booth Welsh’s long-standing role within the nuclear sector, built on more than 30 years of delivering engineering and consultancy services. Today, Booth Welsh is a modern, employee-owned integrated engineering and technology business, combining traditional engineering expertise with digital and innovative approaches to support complex industrial environments.

The frameworks will see Booth Welsh deliver a full range of multi-discipline engineering services, including Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Process Safety, and Project Engineering. Work will support both EDF’s existing UK nuclear fleet and the continued development of Hinkley Point C.

Gordon Semple, Consultancy Services Director at Booth Welsh, said:
“These framework awards reflect the strength of our relationships within the nuclear sector and the trust placed in our teams to deliver in highly regulated environments. We are proud to support EDF across both existing operations and new build, bringing a collaborative approach and a strong focus on safety, reliability and quality in everything we do.”

EDF Energy operates eight nuclear power stations across the UK, while Hinkley Point C is one of the most significant new nuclear infrastructure projects currently under development.

Martin Welsh, CEO of Booth Welsh, said:

“This award provides a great opportunity to continue supporting complex projects across the nuclear fleet and new build programme. Our teams bring a strong multi-discipline capability, alongside practical experience of working in highly regulated environments.

As an employee-owned business, we take a long-term approach and have a strong sense of accountability across our teams. This is a great recognition of our people and the role they play in building trusted partnerships with our clients.”
