Following a successful audit, Booth Welsh is pleased to announce that it has successfully been awarded certification to international standard IS0 27001 for Information Security Management Systems.

ISO 27001 is a globally accepted standard for information security processes, developed by the International Organisation for Standardisation. It provides businesses with a framework for best practice in the management, monitoring and protection of information. An increasing number of organisations require this framework as a standard when partnering with other businesses.

Booth Welsh is very proud of this significant achievement, which adds an extra layer of security and professionalism to its existing suite of certifications, which currently includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. This additional accreditation helps put Booth Welsh in a stronger position to support its supply chain by demonstrating increased knowledge and expertise in protecting against malicious attacks and safeguarding sensitive information for our employees and other stakeholders.

John Holland, Information Security Manager comments,

The move to ISO 27001 is part of the company’s strategic plans, as we recognise the increased risks that could be introduced with the company’s increased workforce, the introduction of hybrid working post-pandemic, and consideration of the connected technology solutions Booth Welsh provides. Implementing ISO 27001 was the next critical step for Booth Welsh to ensure strong protection against such threats.”

Alan Caddies, Compliance Manager added,

“To be recommended for certification on the first attempt is extremely satisfying on both on a professional and personal level. This certification represents the culmination of 18 months of hard work in aligning systems, processes, procedures, and people with the standard’s requirements. Looking forward, ISO 27001 will give the business a strategic advantage with both existing and new clients, whilst simultaneously protecting our stakeholders and employee’s sensitive information.’

‘The buy-in and support across the business in implementing this standard has been remarkable and one of the true highlights of the process. It has been a real team effort and one that I am proud to have played a part in.”
