Automation Engineer
The Booth Welsh Systems and Technology Division has a job opportunity for the position of Automation Engineer.
Purpose of job
The position involve working with our strategic clients providing automation engineering support throughout project lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for the development, configuration, testing and commissioning of medium to large process control systems in all major process industries. The successful candidate will be expected to work alone or as part of a larger project team delivering all aspects of a control system project from concept to commissioning.

Knowledge and Experience
Working with one of our strategic clients providing project automation support throughout project lifecycle. The candidate should have the following characteristics:-
- Experience within Life and Chemical Sciences and/or Oil & Gas sectors preferred
- Experience configuring Siemens, Rockwell or Emerson control systems essential (PLC, SCADA, DCS)
- Experience in preparing and approving control system design, quality and test documentation
- A knowledge of Functional Safety/SIL systems
- A knowledge of Control Panel design and solid understanding of control system hardware and installation
- A knowledge of Hazardous Area design principles particularly around I.S. installations
- Be able to deliver small to medium size automation projects from configuration and testing through to commissioning
- Be able to self-organise and schedule automation project work and deliverables in a timely manner to meet project deadlines
- Be degree qualified and work towards chartered status (IET) or already CEng
