The Background.
Small delays in the spirit supply chain can quickly escalate and cause significant business losses. While breakdowns cannot be completely avoided, any downtime caused by control system issues must be resolved as soon as possible. We offer our clients round-the-clock phone support which entails bringing the appropriate personnel to the site to effect a solution. In central Scotland, we cover four of the client's spirit handling sites and one bottling plant.

The Client
The client is a global leader in beverage alcohol with many sites across the UK ranging from spirit supply to distillation.
The Solution.
When a problem with the control system arises, the client dials a dedicated support number, and our On-Call engineer attempts to resolve the problem via remote desktop access. If the problem cannot be resolved within a certain time frame, an escalation procedure is initiated.
For example, the client had a failed flow meter and was looking at a 12-week lead time to source a replacement due to the global supply crisis. Within a week, we were able to collaborate with them and implement a temporary solution in software using an alternate pipework route, minimising production downtime
