This week, Booth Welsh will be attending the 7th NDA Estate Supply Chain Event. The exhibition takes place on Thursday 2nd of November in Manchester and is set to attract over 1,500 delegates. The event is co-sponsored by Innovate UK and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).
Our Business Operations Director, Gary Mutter has recently joined the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) SME Steering Group Scotland in the position of Deputy Chair. On attending the event, Gary said:
“The Nuclear Decommissioning industry is thriving and will continue to grow in the coming years. I believe the opportunities are vast and invaluable to existing and emerging supply chain companies. I am very much looking forward to the event to network with like-minded individuals and share industry learnings.”
The exhibition allows delegates to meet with contacts from the nuclear decommissioning sector to discuss the technical challenges currently affecting the industry and the potential solutions and opportunities available.
The NDA have recently highlighted a clear mission to clean up the UK’s 17 oldest nuclear sites. The task at hand is of national importance and will take over 100 years to complete. The timeline of the project will provide many opportunities for UK companies working within nuclear, engineering and construction sectors to name a few.
Booth Welsh will be exhibiting at stand M19 and will be looking to highlight the pillars of Industry 4.0 and showcase how innovation and an investment in technologies can make ground-breaking changes within nuclear decommissioning; and help provide cost-effective and efficient solutions.
