Booth Welsh travelled to Abu Dhabi last week to exhibit at the EIC Connect Oil, Gas & Beyond 2018.
On Tuesday the 17th of April 2018, the Booth Welsh team exhibited at the EIC Connect UAE Oil, Gas & Beyond event at the Dusit Thani hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The exhibition brings together leading operators, developers and OEMs from around the world to share the potential opportunities that their current and upcoming projects could provide to the supply chain.
Booth Welsh showcased Industry 4.0 technologies at their stand including Augmented Reality DAQRI glasses and it’s ‘Mobile Worker’ application, with the aim of inspiring delegates to consider how new technology and digitalisation can improve business performance, increase efficiency and reduce costs in the energy industry using their technology track record.
This year, in addition to exhibiting, Booth Welsh also took to the stage in the Emerald Room to present their talk entitled “The Future Won’t Look Like the Past – How Digitalisation is Impacting Upon Process Control.”
The talk was delivered by Managing Director Martin Welsh and Control Systems Manager Hugh Welsh. Upon reflection of their speaking slot, and their time at EIC Connect, Martin Welsh said:
“This is the second time we have exhibited at the event and again it was a great opportunity to have collaborative discussions with clients to understand what they are looking for and how we can assist.
We were honoured to have HE Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, Undersecretary UAE Ministry of Energy and Industry and HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO, DEWA visit our stand where we had a very useful discussion on how we can help companies in the region using technology tools.”
Hugh Welsh, added,
“Our hands-on technology demonstrations at the stand allowed clients to visualise where new technology can fit into their operations and ultimately drive operational efficiencies which was the key theme of the day. I was delighted with the response to our offering at the stand which showcases the appetite and commitment the Middle East has to take advantage of new developments.”
