Booth Welsh & Industry 4.0
As our industry evolves, it has become increasingly important for us to keep up to date with the latest technology, in order to remain relevant and stay ahead of the curve. As we focus on how technology can impact upon us and how we can use it to our advantage, there is a lot to learn and adapt to. Part and parcel of this process is the introduction of new terminology, including the topical ‘Industry 4.0’.
It is also important to understand Industry 4.0 as it becomes a more prominent focus for Booth Welsh. We will be holding events within Head Office around the Future of the Web as well as a CeeD event within the coming months so we would like to encourage every individual to get involved and take advantage of these opportunities to further boost their knowledge and understanding of Industry 4.0.
Booth Welsh also recently attended SPE Offshore Europe 2017 between the 4th-8th of September at the AECC in Aberdeen. SPE Offshore Europe is Europe’s largest Oil and Gas Conference, attracting over 50,000 delegates from all over the world. Our focus was very much on Industry 4.0 and helping visitors to our stand see the potential in applying advanced technology within their own industry with stand attractions including top of the range virtual reality and race car simulators. The event was a great success and helped to showcase and discuss the budding opportunities that Industry 4.0 can present to industry.
Further to our discussions, we have also highlighted the case study below as being particularly useful when trying to visualise elements of Industry 4.0 and digitalisation in the Oil and Gas Industry:
Whether or not you are a fan of technology, there is no argument about the benefits it can provide for a business. Industry 4.0 is helping showcase these benefits and put them into terms that make it easier for respective industries to relate to.
We have created a simple ‘At a Glance’ booklet & concept sheet which act as a clear and informative guide, explaining what Industry 4.0 means and the various factors that are involved in the make-up of the term. We have also included a small snippet of some case studies of projects that link to various pillars of Industry 4.0.
